A 10-year-old girl who died in a horror fire alongside her dad was "sadly awake" when flames engulfed their caravan, an inquest has heard. Lee Baker, 48, and his daughter Esme were killed in a deadly blaze at around 3am on April 5 this year.

Lincoln Coroner's Court heard about the pair's terrifying final moments during an inquest today (December 9). The tragedy unfolded at Golden Beach Holiday Park in Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire.

The court heard Lee, described by loved ones as "a great father", had bought the caravan in November 2024, and the duo had spent several weekends there, with many more trips planned for the summer, Lincolnshire Live reports.
